About Joana Mendonça

Born and raised in Madeira, a Portuguese paradise island, Joana, grew up seeing her grandmother working with seamstresses, doing all the little flowers and embroideries for the most beautiful dresses. Thus, initiating a career in the fashion industry straight after concluding high school, at only 17 years of age, showcasing fashion collections during the Fashion Weeks in Madeira, Portugal, Joana Mendonça has over 15 years of experience within the fashion industry and possesses excellent brand knowledge and strong creative visual focus. Recognised with multiple young designer awards, her experience includes designing her own collections, presenting at fashion shows, and organising photo shoots and exhibitions. Exceptional eye for detail alongside a passion for styling, with the ability to innovate and generate creative ideas which resonate with customers. Creates and executes inspiring on-trend looks and products which have been showcased in Fashion Weeks in Madeira, Portugal and have featured in magazines, journals and tv programmes.
